Victoria Nourse is a Georgetown University law professor whose resume includes serving as junior counsel to the Senate Iran Contra Committee and working with current Vice President Joe Biden on the Violence Against Women Act in the early 1990s. Her most recent book, In Reckless Hands, chronicled a Supreme Court battle involving eugenics laws in the 1930s and ’40s. Her new book will focus on legislation about violence and women.

Plus, our contributor Mick Zloof brings you the second part in our series on the federal fiscal crisis. Robert Bixby is the executive director of the Concord Coalition, an organization devoted to educating the public about federal budget issues.
